Seven cities, one honest calendar

AllImprov now covers Kansas City, Chicago, Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, Seattle and Austin — every listing traced to the venue's own site, never guessed.

AllImprov started as a Kansas City site. As of this week it covers seven cities: Kansas City, Chicago, Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, Seattle and Austin — each with a live calendar, a directory of every active improv theatre with tickets booked at the venue's own box office, and a classes page comparing every school in town.

The rule that makes it work

Early on we made a mistake worth admitting: we listed a venue's "usual" schedule without checking their site, and the dates were wrong. That produced the rule the whole site now runs on:

No listing appears unless it was read off the venue's own website, and every listing links back to where we read it.

Behind the scenes, a crawler re-reads venue sites nightly and a weekly review pass re-verifies every major venue — but nothing reaches the public calendar until a human has looked at it. If you spot a wrong date anyway, tell us and it gets fixed the same day.

Run a theatre or a team?

Listings are free and always will be. Submit your event — it goes on the calendar as soon as a human checks it. And if your city isn't covered yet, it's on the list: the next ones happen wherever people ask loudest.
