Dad's Garage Theatre
Dad's Garage University teaches improv, stand-up and sketch writing for all ages and levels, from beginner classes through advanced improv and performance courses that culminate in onstage graduate shows, plus 55+ improv classes for older adults, an audition-only conservatory programme and kids/teen camps. Improv levels 1-3 are the stated prerequisite for the sketch course. Scholarships are offered at all levels; registration is through an external course system.

Whole World Improv Theatre
Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced improv, each a 10-week programme meeting once a week on a Monday or Tuesday 7-9pm and ending in a showcase on their own stage ($295; the next Beginner section starts Monday September 14 2026). A $50 two-hour taster workshop runs once a quarter (next: Saturday October 17 2026, 3-5pm); a Musical Improv Master Class runs six consecutive Sundays 2-4pm ($225, section starting Sunday September 13); and a six-week Improv Character Lab master class meets Tuesdays 2-4pm ($175, starting Tuesday September 15 2026). For under-18s there is a 16-week Youth & Teen programme (ages 11-17, Saturdays 10am-noon) and the X-GROUP for neurodivergent students (Saturdays 3-4pm), both $385 all-inclusive and both starting September 19 2026, plus $375 summer camps.

Dynamic El Dorado
Comedy classes in improv, clown, sketch and stand-up at an Edgewood Avenue studio: improv courses listed include Introduction to The Harold with Zack Bromberg (Wednesdays 7pm) and a Character Building Masterclass with Melissa Ulloa (Tuesdays 7pm), each $199, alongside a Beginner Stand-Up Comedy Class (Sundays 4:30pm from September 13 2026, $199) and a $20 Intro to Stand-Up workshop.

Onward Theatre
Musical Improv Foundations, an eight-week class at three hours a week for ages 18+ with previous improv experience (at least two levels recommended), taught by Joel Camargo and Justin Geer through Musical Improv ATL (Level 1 Foundations Saturdays 1-4pm or Wednesdays 7-10pm and Level 2 Theatricality Sundays 1-4pm or Mondays 7-10pm, $450, next session starting the week of September 14 2026), plus a six-week Stand-Up Masterclass 101 with Baron Vaughn (Mondays 7-9:30pm, $252.50, ending in a graduation showcase). The building has three flights of stairs.

Improv I, an eight-week adult improv class at the Woodruff Arts Center taught by Kirsten King: Tuesdays 6:30-9:30pm, October 13 to December 8 2026 (skipping November 24), $400, capped at ten students.

Amanda Rountree Improv Classes (Milton)
Beginning improv for adults with no experience, run as 'Improv for Fun and Connection' through the Milton Parks and Rec catalogue: Tuesdays 7-9pm, September 22 to November 17 2026 (no class November 3) at Milton City Hall Community Place. Also an online Personal Storytelling class on Sundays 11am-1pm (October 4 to November 22, $240, early-bird $210.99 before September 14) and a Just for Fun online improv workshop on Sunday October 11, 2-4pm ($40, pay-what-you-can).

Atlanta Workshop Players
An acting school in Roswell whose 2026-27 season (August 10 2026 to May 16 2027) includes adult improv on Sundays — Improvisation 4:30-6pm and Performance Improv 6-7:30pm, ages 16 to adult, $109/month, taught by Deej Ledet — plus a tweens/teens Improv class on Saturdays 10-11am ($79/month) and the invite-only Improv Miniacs youth troupe and apprentice training on Thursdays 5:30-7pm ($125/month), alongside acting, on-camera and voiceover classes and summer camps.

Stage Door Theatre
Adult improv at Dunwoody's community theatre, taught by Avery Sharpe-Steele: Level 1.5 (fundamentals of storytelling and character creation, open to beginners and continuing students) on Sundays 4:00-6:00pm and Level 4 (advanced scene work and game-based performance) on Sundays 7:00-9:00pm, both running September 13 to November 8 2026 at $275. The academy also runs youth classes.

The Alley Stage
Marietta Square's comedy club teaches improv as well as stand-up: Level 1 Improv on Tuesdays 6-8pm (Aug 4 - Sep 8 2026), Level 2 Improv on Thursdays 6-8pm (Aug 6 - Sep 10 2026) and Teen Improv for ages 13-18 on Wednesdays 5:30-7:30pm (Aug 26 - Sep 30 2026), plus Level 1 and Level 2 Stand-Up on Mondays 6-9pm (Aug 3 - Sep 14 2026). Payment plans: 50% due at registration and the balance by August 15. Also runs a teen comedy camp.
